Made my own frame too…. Used two wooden boards, Two 6 ft. folding tables, 2 10 ft. electrical pipe conduits, two ratchets, two ¾ sockets placed in the electrical conduits, 4- 6ft. shelving standards (turned upside down for rails), one grace frame upgrade carriage, 2 12ft grace rails. Cost…. All for less than $300… Best part was I had most of the items in my home already!

Dinah, what did you use for the tracking and did the wheels come with the upgrade? When I looked up the upgrade package it looked to me as if the only thing you got was the handles.

Edited...Oops! Looked at a different site with a better explaination of what comes in the package. Now my next question is how does it stitch. Do you have a problem with eyelashing?

The set comes with the base and the handles...both have the wheels attached. For the rails I used 4- 6ft. shelving standards (turned upside down and screwed into a peice of wood for rails). You can find them in the wire shelving area. Eye lashing isn't a problem it you work the tension correctly.

MollieSue, this is just Super! If I lived near you, I would have your DH make one for me ... or help me anyways! A great creation.

Thank you so much for posting that pic, I've been wanting to make my own for a long time now. You just made it possible for those of us on a tight budget!
