New Kitties and my Banban
#6
I sure wish that you were close enough to get one or two, I need to find homes for them, but if I can then I will just have to keep them. I can't take them to the pound because they only keep them for a few days and if no one comes to get them they put them to sleep. I just can't do that, I love animal to much to have them put to death, so I will keep them.

I sure wish that you were close enough to come get a couple of them, but I will just keep them if I can't find homes for them. My little BanBan loves them, that is strange because dogs usually doesn't like cats, but he is really different.

No, some dogs actually LIKE cats, and even if they don't, they can be trained to either ignore them or pretend they don't exist. We took in rescue Dobermans, and after a few months the dogs and 2 cats lived together nicely. One dog pretended the cats did not exist, old Kurt actually was buddies with black half Siamese Zabo for all their lives. When Hilda, the mentally "off" Dobie was made to do something she didn't want to, she went whimpering to Warlock, my son's cat and they cuddled up for a long time, hissing and growling at humans. Almost like they spoke the same language.
It takes some close supervision at first, but will pay off in the long run.
