Default New machine - new quilt

I have always hand quilted but I am getting to an age when I know I have too much fabric and too many ideas to get it all done that way. I took the plunge and bought a Brother 1500S. My grandson's 4th birthday is coming up, it's cold in Maine and his baby quilt did not fit his new big boy bed. My daughter washes things constantly and I couldn't let her do that to another hand quilted one. No time for practice - let's just see what happens right out of the box. I had the top ready and three days later - a new quilt for Malcolm! I think he likes it! Now it's time to practice and try more than straight lines.
The second shot is baby Malcolm with his baby quilt.

That's great! It's amazing how much pizazz is added by setting it on point!

Lovely quilts. Your pictures show how pleased Malcolm is with the quilts that Grandma made for him.
