New to the Quilting Board

Welcome to the Quilting Board. I know you will love it and get lots of ideas and encouragement. Your quilt is fantastic. I'm a little intimidated by EPP so I really appreciate the quilt you are making. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I have it layered and pinned. I have done the hand quilting for the yellow and green star in the center with what I will call regular hand quilter’s thread, I use Gutterman. I thought about doing the bigger stitch with DMC pearle 8 or 12 but decided that I wanted to let the fabric speak for itself and be a bit more traditional with simple matching stitches. I have hand quilted two other large quilts and it actually goes fairly quickly when I decide that I want to be done! Frames and hoops don’t seem to work well for me, two thimbles and the quilt spread across my lap is my method!
Someone asked earlier in this thread about hand quilting books and I don’t have a specific book I use for advice, lots of blog subscriptions and I have checked stacks of quilting books out of the library to look through while teaching myself. I have purchased a few but more for their patterns. My favorite EPP book is All Points Patchwork by Gilleland which is the book I used to teach myself the EPP basics.
