    Half square triangles can be tricky! Yours look great! Good job, keep up the good work.

    You're off to a very good start. The colors and pattern are very pretty - you did a good job for a 1st quilt! Your tablerunner and pillows are very pretty, as well.

    I agree with 'mytwopals' and would also suggest investing in a 1/4" foot, very much worth it.

    Another item that might help: Qtools Sewing Edge, repositionable vinyl strips; they won't damage your machine. Qtools Sewing Edge $4.95 for a pack of 5 strips. I use the strips on all three of my machines for marking the "SCANT" 1/4-inch seams!
