Couldn't stand it any longer. I had to cut and piece just a little today. I made four squares and pulled out additional pieces for other blocks. I have been in my purple bin of fabric and seem to have enough to make a whole quilt of purple squares. A picture by the week-end of my work to date.

Scrap buster Progress
Have been working on this on and off all week, below is my progress so far. I’m trying to prove to a few ladies in our quilt guild that any combination of fabric can work, you just have to be inventive. I have also sewn 2.5 inch pieces together so I have a piece big enough to cut a 3.5 inch square and a 2 inch strip. It doesn’t take much to make me happy.

Thanks in advance.

these blocks either use the same coloured fabric, but different hues or use contrasting fabric or on occasion fabric that clashes with its neighbour. I just sew the blocks and when I think I have enough I will do a final layout. There are a few blocks, that so far have not made the cut. I’m going for the big, bold out of the box quilt. Not everyone’s idea of a quilt, but I want this one to bring a smile to the recipients face.
