    Default New Years Day project

My DH likes to watch football so that is uninterrupted sewing time for me!! I started with a panel of the Toy Story gang. It was awful with a wide, dark gray border on it. I didn't like it at all, so I cut it off. Then I started digging thru fat quarters and found some that picked up the colors in the panel, and found a yard of very light gray and another yard of a gray and white stripe. I started cutting and sewing and doing the math to make sure everything fit. This is what I came up with. It is not quilted yet and I think I will use the extra green fabric as binding, depending on what I put on the back. I had fun and it kept me busy this afternoon. The colors are actually brighter than the picture shows but you get the idea.

Very cute and the green for the binding will put it over the top perfect!

Really, really cute. The custom border really changes the quilt from generic to special.

Adorable! I love the brights that you added. But, you balanced it well with the gray. Love the idea of the bright binding color. Some little one is going to just love that quilt.

That is so cute. Panels can be terribly hard to showcase, especially if they are crooked!
