your doing a great job, I started it and finally made it to block 24, it is a journey of learning how many little pieces you can get into a 6 1/2" block, enjoy

Great start on your FW blocks! I will be following your thread. I made the Farmer's Wife Pony Club blocks, but not the FW ones. I have a hard time with scrappy quilts, so may have to try out your method in the near future.

Well Well!!! ... Looks like most of our QB FWS'ers have checked in!!

QuiltsRFun and CatLadyQuilts ... why don't you join QuercusRubra and OKSGlad? It really is easier when working with a group, and then posting to the threads here together. The motivation and inspiration comes! I know I would never have got my FWS and PC without the camaraderie and support of these wonderful QB FWS/PCLadies!

... you had me for a minute, with hopes you were coming to Canada!!! A girl's gotta dream!!!!!!!!! Then remembered the Great Escape Quilting Retreat A La Grands-Watch-Gig! (great master plan on DDs part!)

I like your blocks. I can't wait to see more. What is the 3 brown back method?

Sorry, I decided to read the whole thread AFTER I asked my question! Got my answer. Thanks!

I was able to find the Farmer's Wife Companion CD for EQ5 and EQ6 at Quilt in a Day. I think it will be a great help as I plan to make the blocks 8 inches rather than 6.
Going to an 8" block may not be easier unless you are paper piecing. Many of the 6" blocks are based on a 9P block meaning they are easily divisible by 3. 8/3=2.666666 At the same time EQ will give you templates to use.
Honchey (QB member) painstakingly put together rotary cutting directions that are listed under this heading:

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/sitemap/f-9.html

They would start out FWS Quilt Along Week xxx Blocks xx & xx

if you prefer to cut that way.

Anything that's FWS PC is the Pony Club quilt, a different quilt using 8 inch blocks.

Just food for thought. Best of luck on you adventure.
