I love your blocks and you have given me renewed inspiration to continue with my project. I am currently up to Block #43 and sort of hit the wall. But I love your idea of 3 paper bags so last night I sorted out my fabric and guess what I have now - 3 paper bags of different fabrics!!! Also have a little container of numbers that I can now pull out a number and then dive into the appropriate bags to get the fabric.

Well - that all sounds good in theory - will see how it goes in practice. I do like the random idea of selecting the next block to work on tho'. Maybe the wall will move a little further away.

Again - thanks for the renewed inspiration.

Love it when one quilter inspires another!

They look great to me , I am excited to read about the brown bag method, I have had this book for a few years , I bought it with the intention of using all my scraps, however I overthink things and get overwhelmed and give up . I think I will dig the book out and sort some scraps !

Well - there's good news and bad news - and REALLY good news!!!! First the good news - I pulled out a piece of paper from my little container of numbers for the next block to work on. That part was easy.

Next came the material selection. That was bad news!! I realised that I'm really a very weak minded sort of person and just couldn't come at what I pulled out for the selected block so relented and manually chose the fabric. That part was hard.

But the REALLY good news is that I made 4 blocks yesterday using the random block selection/weak minded fabric selection method. That part was delightfully pleasing.

Things are on hold for a few days tho' as life is throwing wobblies at us. Will give an update - and pics - on progress of blocks.
