    Default newbie halloween quilt

This was the first quilt I made on my own after I took quilting classes. At the time, I knew nothing about homespun, plaid or applique. But I jumped right in. Each square was cut separately. I finished piecing it last yeas. Just had it quilted at a local shop. She did it with spider webs. I also did the binding with spiderweb fabric I had in my stash. I am so glad to have it finished. I think my 10 month old grandson will enjoy it too. I hope this inspires other newbies to try new things.

I like the look of the homespun, a different take!
