Isn't it though? It was one of those "V-8" moments for me when she showed me. Duh!! How obvious, yet why didn't I think of that??? When I first learned it from her, I stopped at the hardware on my way home and bought my piece of plexi. I hope it helps you as much as its helped me.

Thanks all. I have a GQM frame, and can get the laser light for it, but haven't yet. I think I prefer free motion of my own to pantographs, but that may change. I like the idea of the plexiglass as well. I knew this was the place to ask questions.
I think for the 30's quilt, I want to design a specific design for the white areas, and just stitch 1/4 inside the lines for the print blocks. Very traditional.
There are so many things I want to do I can't decide what next.
