I just spent the day helping a young friend with her very first quilt. She stuck with it for almost 7 hours and got the whole top done today! We'll get together again in a few weeks to work on finishing it up.

I can just imagine how you enjoyed working with your young friend. Last summer I had the pleasure of teaching my sweet, precious neighbor, Karsyn, to quilt. I'm sure that I enjoyed it more than she did. Although, I know that she had a great time because she made more than one quilt.

Your friend did a fantastic job.

She's only 8, and usually has a hard time staying focused very long, but she really got into it today and was so proud of what she accomplished.
