*** Might try *** tip for getting wrinkles out of batting.
open it up and tumble it in your dryer for a few minutes ( I am thinking 15 minutes is a few, but others will surely jump in who have more experience than I <wave>

Thanks for the suggestion to throw in the dryer - i'll remember that. But til then, it's making a great place to put up the stars and move them around to get it just right!

I came across a quilt that my grandmother had started. But I need to learn how to hand stitch before I can attempt to finish it. What an awesome find and so great of your aunt to give it to you! Good luck make your grandma proud!!

I'm flabbered...Wow. The scraps and your ingenuity will make for some kind of wonderful piece. I only have a few little blocks someone made long ago but fabric is wonderful. Think I'll incorporate them into somewhat of a Dear Jane type quilt. Just could not toss them out.

just want to throw in an update....I was given a picture of this pattern w/ an added border - so i added it - and it is perfect to finishing off the stars!!! I so didn't want to cut a star in half, it seemed so not right...

This has been fun - still more to come..

    first border added
