    Default Nine patches and pebbles

This is a quilt I just finished quilting for my mom. She was replicating a quilt she received many years ago that a neighbor made for her when my brother and I were just toddlers. We all wore that quilt out, so mom made herself a new one and she recently gave it to me to quilt for her. She requested pebbles. And in the equivalent of 574 - 3” squares later she has pebbles!! Not a pattern I think I will want to do again on a quilt this large. It was time consuming and wore on the back and hands. It looks really cool in person though and it’s for mom so it’s worth it. I will bind it tomorrow and give it back to her later this week.

Great quilt but those pebbles must have taken forever!

It took waaaaaaay longer than expected. Two hours was about my maximum quilting time on any given day because it made my back and hands tired doing these things. 😳

Perfect pebbles at that! Wow, you certainly rose to the occasion and I’m sure your mom will cherish her replacement quilt for years to come. Fabulous quilting on a happy quilt...
