I started this project about 7-10 days ago, about 6-8 hours a day. I was going through a tough time with my MS and could not concentrate on anything so I decided to leave all my sewing/quilting projects aside and started using my scraps to create a crazy quilt.

I have very little experience sewing let alone quilting and I figured the safest thing to do sewing wise was to use scraps and just start sewing. This helped me tremendously to be able to move forward with this episode of MS. My spending all this time concentrating on getting this done helped me tremendously get over this episode.

I figure with the Lord on my side what could go wrong and anyway it helped me concentrate on what I was attempting to do. It also helped me pass the nights I could not sleep or during the day.

I surpised myself at how well it came out. This is my very first quilt top which is about regular King size. I had planned to just start sewing and make a child size one but just kept on sewing while having this episode.

Now I have to find material for the border and backing. I'm thinking it will be a double sided crazy quilt.........well one side will be a crazy quilt. Not sure what the back material will be yet. I also am thinking of embellishing this top with various types of stitiches. Guess I'll be experimenting with smaller pieces first though to see if that will work out.

I really need to get back to my committments though for blocks for our guild for charity which we give to displaced children taken from there homes.

I'm pleased with how it turned out and shocked myself. There are a couple things I need to fix on it but not a big deal.

Well got to go to bed it's going on 1:30 a.m. here.

Hope you enjoy viewing my very first attempt at quilting.

I like that. One day I should try that. Thank you for sharing with us. Hope your MS eases up so that you can concentrate on your quilting. :)

Beautiful crazy quilt. Glad that you found something to help you through the bad patch. Would like to see some closups when you have embroidered it.
