Thanks Cathe, the colours are not so day glow as they appear in the picture, I took it late last night with the flash, although they are bright, I will take another picture later in the sunshine

Izy that is luvverrrlyy! For your outer border, what about flying geese in green and blue (if you've got any blue?!) - I'm thinking that might suggest waves?

Hey K...can you think of anything easier to eminate waves...lol!! (did you see how many flying geese I did on my big sampler...put me off for life tee hee!!)

Now I cud just do applique waves in a long piece like in the centre panel....NOW that seems like a plan to me...IF I can find fabric that will do!!

I thought the wave effect was the point?!

But your appliqué idea sound good too!

BTW did you speed piece your geese before? I've done that once as a border on some cushions for my Mum and that worked pretty well - BUT they were only 18" square!

No, I foundation pieced them, but I have downloaded a couple more tutes how to do them quickly.. BUT my biggest problem is the Mathematics, I didn't plan this quilt as usual, so just made the centre panel, now it an odd size so can't balance up borders.......
