    You are so clever. A wonderful idea and a great gift. I've always wanted to make this quilt but making it personal is extra special. Thanks for sharing.

    What a wonderful idea - that is using your noggin! She will love it not only because it is beautiful, but meaningful to her and then made by her favorite aunt.

    Oh my, I'm a huge Nora Roberts fan! I wish you were my aunt. What an amazing quilt to be snuggled under while reading her books. Is there a pattern to follow? I don't think I will be able to sit and read anymore without thinking about your quilt.

    No pattern. I varied the length and width of the strips, sewed the tops all on to a dark brown 3" strip. I cut them apart, arranged them how I wanted them, sewed them together, and trimmed the now-uneven tops. I just played with the irregular blocks.
