    Interesting thing about how the quilt evolved - once I saw my mistake with the blocks, I pulled out my Sashiko book and pulled some inspiration from that. Its how the sashing ended up being pieced. Looking back at it I should have used some of the Japanese quilt pattern designs instead of the lantern design I made up. Hmmmm - there may be another one of these in future!!!
