    The top was already done- I just did everything else. The woman told me that her great great grandmother made it, but passed away before she was able to finish it. I told her I could finish it for her. Anyway she is giving it to her father for his birthday. I thought that was soo neat.
    She did the top all by hand.

    Wow, what a keepsake. I don't have anything from my great grandparents,(or great great) other than their genes!

    Gee that is a ton of ties you had to do to get it finished. It looks great now all ready for pop's birthday. He is going to love it. Too bad we won't get to see pics of him getting it.

    It's a beautiful top! I've always been intrigued by that pattern. You did a great job finishing it.
