I received lots of help with this from the board, so I'm posting now, it's not quite done as you can see by the pins. I still have to quilt the blocks.

this is the back, couldn't keep the two inspectors off. I had some triangles of the black left from the mitering, so I did pinwhels. I used up the b-w fabric on the inner border. I only had one yard of it. not really enough to do a real border, as I figured out now :)
