    Love both versions...Looking at the pics again, essentially you do have the same pattern but the 'darker' colours are reversed with the 'lighter' colours. I do like he first version but the second is nice too. You need to decide what you prefer. Best wishes.

    It looks to me like you just put the top row on the bottom, and the bottom row on top. Upside down. Just two long rows to pull apart. Give it another look and see if that is it. I find that when I leave an error in my work, my eye goes right to the mistake every time I look at the quilt. If you are giving the quilt away, that won't be an issue.

    Oh geez, bummer. They are both nice layouts but I prefer your original. I would be bugged about it forever so I would be one to unsew it & re-do.
