These, of course, reflect the tastes of my DD and I. In many cases we would have happily exchanged ribbons around or had our own little tags that said "Ya should have won." "What were you thinking?" "One yes, one no".
I took 20 pics, but am only showing a few here. Never been to an Expo before; it was fun and interesting. We were told, and it was true, that Friday is the best time to go especially as we arrived about 9:30am.
There were more "art" quilts than traditional but all had something to offer even though we were confused at times as to what was being offered!
My big purchases? A pair of cute reading glasses for my DD. And she bought a cute teapot for me!
Went to Fabric Depot - me with my $70 gift card in my hand. What did I buy - NADA! But on the way home a non-quilting friend called me to tell me of a big garage sale down the road from me for quilters stuff! I've been looking for blue and white pieces so got 10 FQ's and a bundle of striped fabric all for $5! And that's where I spent my money!
OK, pictures - if anyone wants to see more, let me know.
This first one for all of us looking is very sentimental for us that grew up on the coast of BC, Washington and Oregon. It is a place in (I believe) Tillamook county, Oregon.

Thanks for the preview! I am headed down to the expo tomorrow to soak up the loveliness and hopefully be very inspired. Wish I could have gone today but am not about to drag two children to a quilt show - gotta wait for the weekend so hubby can babysit!
Anyone else on the boards going to the quilt show tomorrow?
