no matter how much i enjoy the new art quilts, and i do, i'm so glad to see a return to the old-style ones. did you see an abundance of needleturn, like i did?

i agree about the vendors. in pa i was knocked for a loop at the numbers of them. they must have been hiding in the woodwork for the last few years and now they've come exploding out

those were terrific pictures and the third one reminded me of your work. is there something we should know?

Thank you for thinking of us and posting such great pics. The one with the birds, the doorway....lovely...everytime I see pictures here, the bar is raised and I just keep thinking one day, one day, I'll get there!

I think you see an abundance of needle turn because I am drawn to it and therefore it winds up in my pictures more than some of the other great quilts do. I've done very little of it myself, but it's something I very much admire. Several ladies in my guild are experts and routinely win awards for their applique. I'll post pictures of some of their work (with their permission) after our guild quilt show in October.

Certainly none of those were mine, I only wish they were.

Wow dunster! I don't know if beautiful quilts like that inspire me to improve or to give up now!

I love the appliqué, especially the chickens and of course the OBW! :D
