    You can make it "pop" even more if you have different fabric for the center 1/4 of the block. Also after making more blocks, when you arrange them into rows, have some circles be 3/4 of a circle and the area where the 4th block would be to complete the circle have another circle beginning but the block is facing the opposite direction. This makes it look like circles are in front of another and makes your eye really move around the quilt. I've made several of these quilts and they are time consumming but the end result is awesome, I think. You do need to be certain that your backgrounds contrast each other or they blend together too much.
