    That is gorgeous! I would never have thought about using a panel for OBW. I can hardly wait to see the finished project!

    Thanks for your compliments everyone!!

    Well I have searched through ALL the fabric in the store but they were all small scale designs and using panels ensures that you have no repeats to even worry about!!
    Each panel is about 24" x 44", I was a bit concerned as the black outline really stands out and I thought it may detract from the subtlety of the usual OBW...mine isn't really blending as it should... :-}

    welcome back Izy!! This project just totally amazed me! I would never have seen a OBW in that panel! Good to see you are back to quilting again!

    Thanks Rhonda, yes I had one of those 'light bulb' moments and did a silly happy dance in the shop when it dawned on me what I could do with the panels!!

    They are not really 'my' colours, but I thought nice enough to practice on!!

    p.s. I haven't done any sewing for six months or so....but my bedroom looks like a sewing factory all ready (much to John's frustration) lol!!
