O Wise Ones...What Would You Do?
#14
Not that I'm an expert - far from it - but I would stitch in the ditch between blocks to stabilize it and then ... as I've heard - square geometric designs should be quilted with circular-type quilting, and vise versa. No police, though. I do LOVE the quilt. Lots of work in this one, for sure.

I'm not a wise one (although my sons may say I'm a wise a** lol) but I love your quilt. The colors are beautiful. I don't know too much about quilting yet but I want to see yours when it's done, please?

What ever you decide, make sure you practise it on some small practise quilt sandwiches to get the feel and the rhythm of the free motion.
You might find a big loopy flower a lot easier to do than feathers if you are starting out.
