    The dragons with the red edging and the red border are just what is needed to make this quilt so pretty! Excellent choices, to be sure!

    Thanks for all of the kind comments. I should add that the OBW is an excellent project for a beginner because it is so forgiving!

    Also, I couldn't face pinning the pieces together in strips so I ran a strip of painters tape down the rows and then removed the pins holding the hexagons together. I only had to place a pin in the top edge and then I could carry the whole strip to my machine for piecing.

    Great placement - love the diagonal effect of the red blocks and the appliqued dragons too!
