Default OBW - My first Cube!

I'm so excited - I made my first cube today for the OBW I started earlier this week. I don't have the book or a pattern, but Cutebuns' tutorial was really helpful for figuring out how to stack the fabrics for the kaleidoscopes, and members here helped me out when it turned out that I'd cut my triangles too big. Yesterday I arranged all of the kaleidoscopes and at 2am today I woke up and decided I had to have some cubes in there. No pattern, but I started cutting triangles out of typing paper and using markers to figure out the placement. Now I just have to figure out how to make hollow cubes. I'm having so much fun!

Good for you! It looks great. I had to buy the book to figure out how to make the hollow cubes. Have yet to make one. On the "someday" list.

they look great!!! be sure to sew them in rows of halves so you won't be dealing with Y seams.
