Bull puckey. On the age thing anyhow!

Here is the Wiki entry for the Monkees:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Monkees

They essentially invented the music video with their show. During the course of their show, they would perform songs. Mike Nesmith went on to help develop the music video and in some places is referred to as the Father of the Music Video.

We, their fans, were younger than the Beatles fans, but no less fanatical. They had some of the best song-writers in the business, including Neil Diamond and Carol Bayer Sager. They were fun, and funny, in addition to having great music.

    Wow. They are so beautiful.

I keep seeing the OBWs. I am going to have to try it. I have taken a couple of Kaleidescope classes with Paula Nadlestern, but this looks as if it is a lot quicker.

Is that the Stacknwackipedia lady? Wow, lucky you! I think the fabric stacking, cutting and piecing techniques are pretty similar, it's the layout that is different. I only do the hexagon blocks - in stacknwhack you can do stars, fans and other shapes, right? Haven't tried those YET!

    :-D

Edited to say just googled and that's Bethany Reynolds! I should know, I've got the bloomin' book!

With Paula, you draw the template and even a part of the design on the template, They are beautiful, and take a lot of time. This is her web site, she is a great teacher and a lot of fun.

She had an exhibit at the American Folk Art Museum in NYC.

K! That is stunning. I've read how animal fabric makes gorgeous OBWs and yours is proof positive! Stunning!
