    Default Ode to the Islands

Over the last few years my DD has brought me home FQs from Maui and also from Vancouver Island. This last retreat in April I pieced the top & finished quilting it last night, it makes me happy! (I used a Polydown batting from Hobbs because I was also gifted it, I much prefer quilting with Warm and Natural Cotton batting) The pattern is from The Quilter Magazine Sept. 2007 and I made it before with the black sashing and Australian & Tahitian fabrics, here is the link to that thread. Outback and Beyond (Oriental Elegance)

And the very colourful back made from sample fabrics from "years" ago.

I really, really like that quilt. I love the fabric you used for the border. It really ties everything together. The back is wonderful...two quilts in one. TFS!
