That is a very special quilt. I love that it's perfect for a boy or a girl. Now what will you do if it's twins? (It can happen, just ask Terri.)

Well--this will be the third quilt I'm saving for a grandchild. And since it'll most likely be years from now--I may be able to cover (literally) quintuplets or more by then.

Now if we waited until we could afford them, no one would ever have kids! I've been amazed at how much they cost! I keep telling myself that as they get older, there will be less costs involved! Ha! If we aren't paying for daycare and diapers, it's book orders, school pictures, lunches and extra fees! I have a 4yo and 2yo and my hubby and I keep talking about "when DD starts school next year" and what we will do with the extra money that would have gone to daycare. Somehow it always seems to disappear! :D

And I have two in college. Books for one semester can run $600. And one is engaged and his fiancé has no financial support from family members... and we sent the two kids to Europe for an early college grad present. Oh--and high school grad brought on the laptops. You're right--it never ends. BUT, once they're both settled, I'll pick up with grandkids. :-D

A work of art! I love it! The colors the fabrics and the quilting...all fabulous! And I too love nursery rhymes...a lost art in and of itself!
    Kind Regards,
