This looks very good to to me! Good things are often the things we struggle with the most. Your friend will be very pleased with the outcome.

    Great job on the finish!

Now you can look forward to your next project. I bet it won't have curves. That pattern seems to have a few grumbles along the way with other quilters too.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. They are appreciated

toogie - I ended up using 238 apple cores. Then I did a 1-1/2 inner border and 5-1/2" outer border (finished sizes)
This ended up 54 x 61 with the borders

It turned out great!!! Now you can focus on something you'd rather do.
I've never tried that one. Maybe now I really won't!

Great job. I know your customer will be thrilled. I hope she knows what a “bear’ this was to make! I personally stay away from most curves.

Your quilt turned out so nice even tho' it was a pain to put together. Glad it is finished for you and you can be very proud of yourself for finishing such a nice top. This will be quite a treasure for the customer

You did a great job. Congrats on having the patience to finish it, and thanks for the heads up. I didn't think I would have been inclined to try apple cores, but now I'm sure I wouldn't. LOL.

Don’t you hate it when you can’t wait to be finished with a quilt?
