    It is kinda stiff right now. I am concerned to wash it since one of the ladies here said hers lost it's shine.

    kwhite...sometimes you just gotta buy it! I have alot of fabric like that. It just says...buy me....so I do! lol

    That's after many washings. I wouldn't use it on placemats again or anything that will need lots of washing. It will soften up a little after a wash, but it actually stays a little stiffer than most fabrics. Maybe not a good idea for a small baby's quilt?
