    Default Old Crazy Quilt

Thought I'd share a couple pics of an old crazy quilt my sister gave to me to repair and keep. It's rather dreary looking but I plan to replace the two black borders with red and repair many of the blocks made with silk that have disentegrated. The quilt has no backing yet, I'm sure it was a work in progress that was abandoned.

If anyone can share anything they might know about crazy quilts and how to identify age that info would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks.

It isn't dreary at all, it is beautiful! I don't know a whole lot about dating crazies but I love them and am working on one.

Please share pictures as you progress and have fun. Don't you just wonder whose hands made those stitches?

Wish I could help you, but I would love to see pictures as you go. Too bad about the silk.
