Actually, QuiltE, he did buy me some flowers. He said the expensive roses were not very nice but he was able to find a decent bunch finally so he bought them & brought them home. On opening, I had to laugh (a lot) because upon opening the package, they actually were tulips !!! He knows his woodworking but flowers, not so much. LOL
His heart was definitely in the right place though.

Oh that is such a wonderful "love story"
Tell him roses are overrated ... and tulips are such a better sign of spring to come than those roses!
