How cool!!! I can honestly say I used to own a cabinet just like the first one and believe it or not I collected thimbles!!!That was in the 80s , long before I ever became a quilter

What a cool idea to display old sewing notions. Love the embroidery hoop display. Beautiful.

I like the ideas you have for displaying these things. I have a lot of things like that. My mother had them and I
    inherited them.

I didn't start this as a brag thread. I was hoping others would jump in and post notions as well, so I can find notions I'm missing to start hunting.

    Default a notion to collect.............

I have had this notion for awhile thinking I might need the things in it for old sewing machines I find. It still has alot of shuttles/ long bobbins and diff. needles sizes in it. i also collect old irons to put in quilting rm. In my profile i have an album with pics of my collections of little sewing machines.

All around the outside edge, going around the top, it lists sewing machines, what size needle and shuttle it takes. Someone on the QB was looking for needle size 20 1/2 so got me to thinking/wondering if i had some that size and i do. Glad that most of todays machines take a standard size pretty much. it still has alot of long bobbins too for the shuttles. Marked 5 cents each. Fun to go through, i have seen more of these around but not alot.
