    I do know that back in 1937 when my mom was 10 yrs old she used it, it was her mom's machine.

    Go to Singer.com and type in the serial number on the front. The site will tell you the date and place it was made.

    Oh, wow! I am envious. I used to play on my grandma's treadle. I wish my family hadn't just disposed off it at the city dump. I can't help you with 'dating' your machine, but what a wonderful treasure to have.

    I feel stupid, but I think so, I really didn't look at it too much. I'm not into old machines really, but hubby wanted to keep it.
