    Why do people place so little vaue on handmade quilts? I often see them being used in ways that make me cringe. Kudos to you for rescuing these from the dump.

    I rescued a beautiful (if worn) handmade indigo quilt from the moving company the last time we moved. I told them I'd trade an old fleece blanket for it. They shrugged and said "sure lady." I've been meaning to make pillows or stuffed animals out of the good parts. I think it is quite old.
