The reason it was so difficult to find HD fabric is because there is none. The motor company is highly protective of their trademarks and logos and don't license out readily and when they do the fees are beyond exorbitant. What you got on E-bay was a cut up pillow case from a sheet set. I know because I have this exact set. In fact any Harley fabric you find on ebay is cut up sheets as HD has never licensed out their logo to any fabric manufacturer that I am aware of. If they did, only very small limited runs were done and it was used to package other harley products like the little pillows in the wrist watch packaging. I find the best way to make harley themed quilts is to make T-shirt quilts from the HD t-shirts. All enthusiasts have more than they know what to do with and they make striking quilts. There are a few lines of fabric that have motorcycles on them and motorcycle themed but they will not have HD or the bar and shield logo. You did a great job with what you were able to find. I bet your son was thrilled with his quilt.

Thanks for this information, I wondered where they got the fabric and now I know.

I hope my oldest son does not want one. He has a Harley too along with my oldest daughter. They both love to ride. They have both driven semi's all though my daughter went back to school & got her RN license because she could make more money doing that & could be home for her 2 girls. lol
