When I first started quilting, I started an appliqué spring bouquet top. Crazy right? I knew I would never finish it and I sent it off to the charity shop a few years ago. My oldest UFO's now are tops. I am gradually finishing them as my FMQ improves.

So over the years it became a memory quilt! I love it just the way it is, and I wouldn't have thrown out the blocks, either!

Having those memories incorporated into the quilt is priceless. Thank goodness you decided to finish it and thankfully share with us.

Pulling out old pieces is a great measure of where we've been, and want to go, too. One that is filled with memorable fabrics makes it even more special. It might not win awards for accuracy, but it's still priceless. Congrats on finishing it.
