Okay, I was making a list of quilt related things I want to accomplish this year,..sort of a quilt resolution list for 2009. In the process, I was distracted by the newest fabric I bought and just couldn't resist another minute and had to make a few blocks. Here are a few of the blocks and the pattern. AND back to the list....I have 8 drawers of UFO's, PIGS, quilt tops, etc.etc., so here is my thought..."for every new project I start, I have to finish an old one". I hope to be posting pics of finished projects soon. (I have eight tops, waiting to be quilted too and 5 of them are for my best friend....I must get busy!!)

this is the pattern I am using "BQ from Maple Island Quilts"

these are a few blocks for what I am calling "sticks and stones"

HOW COOL! You'll get it all done someday :D Love the new project. I think most of us are guilty of great planning now all we have to do is find some time.

I can understand why you couln't wait to start that one! It is going to be beautiful, so contemporary looking. When I started this "hobby" (or addiction, take your pick), I read everyone's comments about WIP, etc. and stuff that didn't get completed.

I resolved to NOT start a new project until said current project was done.

Well, 1 1/2 years later I have to admit that idea has gone by the wayside...... I stand guilty as charged....Oh, well....Like they say, too many quilts not enough time....

thanks for the compliments and this really is an easy pattern. My best friend did the same pattern in a large poinsettia print for Christmas and it is beautiful.

Looks like a fun pattern. I think there are very few quilters that finish one project before starting another one. I know there are a few out there, but I bet they aren't having any fun!
