Wendy your top is beautiful. I love the color choices you made and would love to see the original fabric you worked with. Great job! I have no suggestions for FMQ, but I am sure you will get some good suggestions from the others. Good luck with the quilting and be sure to post a photo when she is done!

Your OBW is so beautiful Wendy! Wonderful how you arranged your blocks and added the diamond trim for across your pillows! You & Dixie_fried have inspired me to give a large rose print I have stored away a try too.

Quilting OBWs is so difficult to figure out. Have you surfed through some of Charismah's old posts. She did some beauties!

PS... I see you just posted on the OBW quilting template thread I posted last year. Please bear in mind that I was merely sharing ideas that i'd doodled with my computer's Paint program and was trying to get other's to share their ideas too. The blank template is the most valuable one there. I'm a novice and a lot of these designs would be difficult to pull off for a quilter using a regular sewing machine. Something more freestyle might be more the ticket.

You, however possess the skill to pull it off, that is for sure! I have always been a HUGE fan of your free motion quilting style Wendy, as shown in your "Over the Top" thread and in your avatar. I'm sure you will do great! Please, please, please show us what you came up with when you get this lovely one quilted!

The last OBW I quilted I curved out from the seams in the hexagon all the way around each of the blocks. It turned out nicely and I didn't have to draw lines to do it. It is sort of a scallop or looks like a flower curving out from the center where they join. I hope my description is clear. I love the diamonds you added - they add another point of interest. Aren't OBW fun, they are always a surprise when you put them together.

Fabulous. The colors are stunning. Simple quilting I think would be best.
