    I looked up Ricky Tims.... didn't see any of his quilts though... what's a convergence quilt?

    It's a technique where you take a piece of fabric, wholeclosth or pieced and slice it up then reassemble it with or without other strips in between here's his gallery http://www.rickytims.com/index.php?o...wall&Itemid=53
    I think an OBW treated this way could be amazing! :-D

    Re the blooming OBW with hexes - would you make the blocks rectangular to set them with the setting squares, or set with triangles or plain hexes? I saw a quilt in Fons and Porter with hexes made into stars by a bordering block cut from a two colour strip. I'd like to try that with OBW too! Too many ideas, too little time! :lol:

    I think I'd stay with the hexs. Convergence sounds interesting. Wonder if the multi seams would be a problem. You could end up with some real thickness!!

    Yes, I was thinking about it last night that I'd chose a huge print and make the hexes a lot bigger... needs some experimentation but I think it could work. :-D
