One that didn't turn out too good.

This is your quilt. This is your quilt on drugs and illness.
Not every quilt is destined to be an heirloom! Some like to travel and find new owners, some become dog beds. In the early days, I would pur ruffled lace over my mistakes. There were a few real girly-girl quilts, but I improved and left that tactic behind. I am not above appliquing over mistakes, or changing my mind in the middle of a quilt.
If a design/color/fabric bores me, it goes to charity to find a new home. Many quilts slated as small have grown as I got involved with them, and a few decided to be twin and move on, rather than remain with me. As you go through life, you outgrow some, and open up to new types of quilting.
