Boy that is colorful. I know my granddaughters love the color purple also. They would surely like this one. Great job.

OK......seriously.......I couldn't be happier with the way my niece's Christmas gift turned out. And that's what I am calling this one......The Flyin Purple People Eater! LOL This was another of my first "practice" quilts that turned into her gift. She is 13 and LOVES purple. I used all batiks, and purple yardage. The quilt is made solely of half square triangles with the exception of the borders and some sashing. My LAQ quilted with purple varigated thread in large botanicals. If my niece ends up not liking it, I am going to take it for myself! LOL

Thanks to everyone who has left comments on my other quilts. It truly is VERY encouraging to know there are others out there cheering a newbie on! Enjoy!
I am a new person to the web site and I would like to know what pattern you used to do the "botanical" stitching on the quilt.

Very pretty. I'm sure your niece will love it. So you better start making one for yourself.
