    Default One for the guys

I came into possession of some orphan blocks recently and thought they were dull/dark, but everyone said they would be perfect for a guy's quilt. Why is that?? Guys only like dark quilts? Oh well, I think it came out nice anyway... I donated it to the Presbyterian Church to do with as they need.
I was short just a few blocks so needed to made six more to finish it. I freehand quilted it on a Crown Jewel.
The more I ask my DH to hold it straight and not fold the corners over so much, the crankier he gets ... the sides really ARE straight!

I think this is lovely. I imagine that they were saying it wasn't flowery or pastel, things guys don't like.

Really great quilt! I like the pattern and the design you did on the borders! The colors are nice too. This is a good one to use scraps in a controlled way.
