One more Christmas gift done. Took longer then a quilt!

This monkey is so adorable. Liam is going to love it to pieces!!!
I remember making a gift that took much more time and effort than I expected, but in the end I discovered (and you will too) it was well worth all the time/energy!
In 1968 my 3 year old son was fascinated with snakes, especially boas and he kept asking us for one as a pet, so I made him a 6 foot long (8-inch circumference) boa... I only worked on it when he wasn't around so it took me many many months to finish it. I cut it on the bias so it curled into a spiral. It took me forever to stuff the darn thing... and while I can't remember exactly how many bags of polyfill I used, I swear the company saw a noticeable rise in sales that year! In the end all the stress of working on it was worth the joy I saw on BJ's face when I gave it to him... Snakey became his security blanket which he took everywhere for several years.
