I was nervous doing it too.... this is my first.. but I thought how hard can they be??? my mom did one years ago.. ( no offense.. but mom can't craft or sew) So, I jumped right in.. then I began seeing ALOT on QB about how hard they were , they had so many issues/problems, they didn't lay flat, blah blah blah... I WORRIED!!!!!!! it was so easy... I think the key is to keep the stitching as close to the same ( 1/4 inch seams) as possible.( I am certainly not a percision cutter/sewer) Everyone of my mine laid out just as flat as could be.... I was tickled pink!!! I kept seeing the problems on QB with this design.... I was biting nails...... but it all turned out alright...My friend loves sunflowers and I've always thought the pointed dresdens could look like a sunflower with the right colors.... glad everyone enjoyed it... ( she loves it too)

It was really much easier and faster than I thought.. go ahead.. jump in... u will be glad u did...
I used the blanket stitch to attach the plate to the background. This serves to attached it as well as the quilting.
