Default One of my Christmas Quilts

This is a quilt that I designed for my grandson's Christmas gift. He plans to attend Texas Christian University when he graduates and wanted a quilt using their colors.

I had difficulty finding the 3 colors I wanted. I wanted a dark, medium, and light...but couldn't find a satisfactory medium color. This one is as close as I could get.

I used EQ7 to design the quilt. I know the quality isn't as good as it should be, but I'm very new to piecing as well as quilting. I did not take it to a long-arm quilter. I decided I wanted the gift to be entirely from me.

I'm hoping to become better as I keep doing this. I actually thought it would be quite a mess, but I don't think it turned out too bad.

It is wonderful. I think the quilting gives an effect of a knited sweater. That's what my eyes see. Really cool. He will carry many great memories with him in this quilt.

    Beautiful quilt.
TCU is a great choice for a school. No doubt your grandson will "feel the love" when he carries it to school.
