I dont know of a local feed store around here.
And that would be a very cool picture to see.

The homeowners' association he's in now is even worse. There is a couple there I like to call the "Rosenbergs" as they seem to do nothing other than rat out "infractions" on the convenances. It's pathetic.

However, in another neighborhood close to where he used to live, there were strict rules put up by the association. One of them was the houses MUST be painted an earth tone. So one guy painted his house bright blue. The association pitched a fit, told him he had to repaint his house an appropriate color. He didn't. So they hauled him off to court, where he represented himself. His course of action included a slide projector and screen along with an image of the earth from space. His explanation was that if the earth was over 75% water, and the water appeared blue (the same blue as his house) then it would stand to reason that his house was indeed and "earth tone." He won, he got to keep his house blue and the homeowners' association changed the rules to list specific colors for those in question in the future.

Like I said they are evil.......LOL

When my son & daugh in law built they even had to have their house numbers set in the brick on the front of the house. They did have a nice spot across the street from wetlands so saw lots of wildlife. Not as pretty as your backyard Henry. They moved back home and are hoping to buy a small acerage. In north central Iowa we don't have as many areas that look like yours. We live on the edge of a small town and we have deer visit once in a while, wild turkeys like our pond and we have had a blue heron eat all our goldfish. Other wise it is mostly bunnies, frogs, gophers, possum and raccoon. rarely a skunk will visit- thank heavens it is rarely. Love your curtains by the way, are you going to show the bed covering?

Oh--good for you for elaving the backyard natural!!

Have you ever read "Crash" by Jerry Spinelli? It's a kids' book--the first read aloud I do every year. You'll love the little sister character. Read it if you get a chance.
